Scarring is a normal body response to a prolonged inflammatory process, usually as a result of a wound or some sort of contusion. The process of wound healing involves the production of collagen in the extracellular matrix which gradually help to close the wound. In certain instances, that can be excessive and visible, forming uneven and elevates tissue structures.
Like the other three Pbserum products, Pbserum High contains the three key ingredients Collagenase PB220, Lipase PB500 and Lyase PB72K. However, the percent of collagenase here is significantly higher, as this solution is specifically tailored towards softening, reducing and potentially removing scar tissues. It is also effective and stopping and reversing the process of fibrosis of the dermal tissues. The collagenase affects the fibroblasts directly and stimulates them to produce fresh and healthy collagen fibers, while the Pbserum safely dissolves the malformed existing collagen structures.
This process is aided by the high molecular weight Hyaluronic acid which PB Serum High contains. While having a softening and hydrating properties, the role of the HA is to create the best possible conditions for the synthesis of collagen and elastin in the extracellular matrix. Additionally, it’s lubricating properties allow it to stop and prevent fibrosis.
Results from Pbserum High treatment are normally observed after 2 to 4 sessions. Lasting scarring reduction can be seen at around the 75th day, post the initial treatment.
